    Gotta say, thought he was going for the D-28. But I LOVE the punch of the bottom 3 strings of my D-18. Perfect bluegrass guitar.

    for 800.00 Martin gives you this HPL ( high pressure laminate) made guitar.. The sound. will never improve and it’s basically plyboard.. a real Martin Cocobolo wood guitar runs about 6000.00 😊

    Is this technique different for nylon/classical strings and do you have a tutorial? I feel like my guitar sounds slightly different & possibly a slight difference in tensions on certain frets if I tie them Using different techniques at the headstock. It could just be my classical guitar has a few minor alignment or fret issues, but I'm just wondering the best technique as one guy says, go through then up & over another guy says go through then down under & back up followed by a loop/knot or a few twists. I also am confused as to whether I should be overlapping the string on the string roller as some people do or to clear the string out and avoid overlapping🤔 I heard one guy say if you overlap the string on the string roller it can sometimes make the strings harder to stay in tune. I may be overthinking, but I feel like the technique in which you tie through the string roller matters a great deal especially if it effects the string tension and sound🤔

    Genuinely curious, whats the point of that style of capo?? Seems like it would be much more difficult to use than a regular capo

    • @ElderlyInstruments
      @ElderlyInstruments 6 днів тому

      Great question! This capo system includes several capos, one of which presses down only four strings, offering more playing options. Watch Dan Erlewine's demonstration to see why he was inspired to add this feature to his signature model: www.elderly.com/products/iris-guitar-company-de-11-dan-erlewine-signature-model-acoustic-guitar

      @@ElderlyInstruments interesting! Partial capo is such a cool and freeing setup, but it’s always such a pain in the butt to get it right without buzzing/tuning issues when using regular capos, bet it’s a breeze with this thing. Thanks for sharing!

    Anyone notice the narrator talk about Trump met Elvis in 2018 and other dates 2024,I don't be Elvis is dead,just a cover up because of the private detective roll he did,and went into pertection and took a different name. Other people also that are close to him said he's alive and well, loosing his daughter had to been hard, on him.he said if Obama did not become president he would have came forward and explain why he covered his death, but since Obama won he stays hidden, because Obama has some kind of dirt on Elvis or Elvis had dirt on Obama, about putting people in jail.i believe it was about Obamas nazi friend and was sexually bisexuality. We found out Obama hates America and nowxis trying to depopulate America by 90 %when he was a private I. It's really up to Elvis if he comes forward or not ,I know the man was strongly into God, Elvis is getting old in his 80s,and when he passes im sure the world will be told the truth, because to many bad people are still after him,another 15 years I suspect Elvis would pass away in an old age,like a warm summer day.andxthe world will be shocked, millions believe he died in 77,but they didn't understand what he really was into or involved in the government, and we all know how the government hides things. There are pictures Elvis shaking hands with some presidents in the 2000s.it does not matter to me if what people say if he's dead or alive, that's between him and God my uncle knew Elvis and ran around with him back in the old days, my uncle has passed on but Elvis still remains. He talked about the picking cotton in the fields and Elvis working with his dad Vernon working as an electrician odd jobs.we all are just people, some make big some just remain the same. My mom talked about him alot when she was alive.maybe if I get a chance I get to meet the man behind the certain hidden all these years. God bless, come Jesus come Amen!!

    This interview was so so interesting ! I've been watching his videos since a year now and he's an amazing banjo teacher and he seems to be such a great person. You asked great questions ! For the tabs, I've been relaying on them to much and I realize that I need to stay away from it because I feel out of time and disconnected from the melody.

    Are the new Martins as good as older models? Pre 1980’s? I’ve only played an old D-28. Beautiful guitar. Amazing quality and sound.

    • @ElderlyInstruments
      @ElderlyInstruments 10 днів тому

      Great question! While some prefer vintage instruments, new Martin guitars are top quality. They sound amazing, are well-built, and will age into great-sounding vintage guitars. If you like your old D-28, you’ll likely enjoy the new ones too. Come to Elderly Instruments and try them out!
